Organisational profile

Tossa Community Development Organisation (TCDO) is a registered charity with the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Agency in accordance with proclamation No. 1113/2019 and was given the registration number 4076 of the FDRE Civil Society Organizations Agency on December 10, 2019.

Currently TCDO’s targeting community is supporting the people who are living in Dessie city administration Hotei sub-city Dawudo kebele Tossa Sire Minchi village.

W/ro Abbeba Betesselase, a resident of London, UK, founded TCDO. She mobilises people and plans fundraising activities all year long for TCDO in collaboration with individual volunteers in order to support the organisation's objectives and its target population.

TCDO currently provides support to 71 people, including women, the elderly, and disabled individuals who can support themselves. 22 of those individuals are HIV/AIDS positive. In addition to this, TCDO offers kids school supplies.

OUR VISION

To see that, by 2026, every home in the target community has a sustainable income and that everyone is able to take care of their own needs.

OUR MISSION

To develop the community and raise the standard of living for people living in the Tossa community. To enable low-income residents, seniors, people with disabilities, and unemployed young people to participate in the workforce.
